Arrival in Helsinki

Welcome to the glorious capital of Finland - Helsinki! Upon arrival, your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your modern well-designed hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free, so you can relax in your room, have dinner in a local restaurant or start exploring the nearby attractions.

Helsinki City Tour & Vintti Workshop

The next morning after breakfast, your private guide takes you on a fascinating 5-hour walking tour to show you the best of Helsinki.

During the excursion, you walk through the vivid Central Harbor and Market Square, explore the beautiful Old Town, visit the renowned Rock Church, and even take an enjoy a scenic tram ride.

Then you head to the National Museum of Finland where you learn the eventful history and interesting culture of the country. Open a portal to the past and explore impressive ancient artifacts, such as attire, weapons, and silverware. 

To highlight the day, we invite you to visit the Vintti Workshop, nestled on the third floor of the museum. You and your children have an amazing time together engaging in various traditional activities like grinding corn into flour, building a wall out of chopped wood, and having a seat on a horse.

  • Please, note: the museum is closed on Mondays.

After the tour, you go back to your downtown hotel and have the rest of the day free. You can spend your evening exploring the area on your own or join our carefully designed optional tour.

  • Please, note: If you travel from December 1 to December 22, we advise you to extend your city tour and pay a visit to Helsinki Christmas Market with a professional guide to get acquainted with local Christmas traditions.

Arrival in Rovaniemi & Northern Lights Seeking

The following morning, you have breakfast, check out from your hotel, and continue your Finland exploration. Your private driver takes you to the airport for a short flight to Rovaniemi, the motherland of one-and-only Santa Claus (tickets are included). Upon landing, you are transferred to a comfortable boutique hotel in the heart of Rovaniemi for check-in.

In the evening, you are taken to an unforgettable reindeer safari through a fairy tale winter forest. During the group tour, you learn more reindeer sleighing and find out why it is a traditional mode of transport in Lapland. To top it all, you also have a chance to admire the beauty of the Nordic Lights, as the ride takes place at night-time, away from the city lights.

After about a one-hour ride, you arrive at a local reindeer farm. Here, you enjoy a cup of coffee with a sweet bun as well as fascinating stories about the lifestyle of a reindeer herder.

After the tour, you return to your hotel for the night.

Fun for the Whole Family at Santa Park

The following day, you go on an unforgettable magical adventure to Santa Park, a marvelous world filled with wonders and the spirit of Christmas! Have a great family day in the Home Cavern of Santa Claus and explore its numerous thematic sights, shows, and children-friendly activities.

What is more, you get a chance to feel like a real Santa helper and get your official diploma at the wonderful Elf School, cross the underground border of the Arctic Circle, and decorate your own gingerbread cookie with Mrs. Santa Claus. Local magical elves inspire and help you to create your unique piece of Christmas art and crown your day with the special entertaining show. As today you are closer to the magical world as ever, stop by Santa's office to whisper your wishes directly into his ear! Lunch, gingerbread for the workshop, and two-way transfers are included.

  • Please, note: the tickets are valid for two consecutive days, so you can continue your visit to the park also the next day. Santa Park is open from November 9 to January 11.
     
  • Please, note: as an alternative for this day, you can enjoy a trip to Ranua Wildpark to meet polar bears and many other arctic animal species, visit the traditional sauna or have a Lappish cooking class. Contact your destination specialist for details.

Snowmobile Safari & Santa Claus Village

Today you set off on a memorable group tour, covering the most famous Lapland sights and providing a chance to try exciting winter activities. After breakfast, you start with a brief introduction to snowmobiling, after which you are free to drive to the wilderness. In the middle of the ride, you stop to enjoy grill sausages with warm drinks near an open fire. The snowmobile safari stop takes about 3-4 hours, including a warm-up stop. 

  • Please, note: in order to drive a snowmobile please make sure to have your driver's license with you. Children and adults without a driving license can also join the safari sitting on a sled. Tour is recommended from 4 years old.
  • Please, note: due to unsuitable weather conditions (e.g. there is no snow or it is raining), a snowmobile ride will be replaced with a visit to the Arktikum Museum.

After the safari is over, you continue your trip to Santa Claus Village where you enjoy a visit to the Snowman World and attend a real ice bar! You can also purchase some interesting local souvenirs and send amazing postcards with a special Arctic Circle stamp from Santa Claus's main post office.

  • Please, note: the Snowman World is open from the beginning of December to the end of March.

After the tour, you go back to the hotel and have the rest of the evening free.

Husky Safari

Get ready for an exciting day on the husky farm! After breakfast, you check out from your hotel, leave your luggage at the hotel lobby, and travel to the nearby husky farm. There, you meet and make friends with the lovely huskies - enthusiastic arctic sled dogs that are more than happy to be petted and are always ready to greet you with loud barking and jumping. 

Then, you have a short safety briefing after which you enjoy a group guided husky safari. The route of about 15 km (9 miles) takes you through a jaw-dropping winter landscape. During the stops, you are welcome to switch places as a driver and a passenger. After the adventure ride that lasts about 1-1.5 hours, you spend some more time at the husky farm. Your group is invited to gather around the campfire to listen to the mushers' stories about life with the huskies.

After the tour, you pick up your luggage from the hotel, and your driver transfers you to the airport for the flight back to Helsinki.

Upon landing, you are taken to your downtown hotel for check-in and to have some rest after such a long but exciting day.
